Translational Therapeutics &
Quantitative Histology

Where novel therapies meet robust in vivo validation and quantitative histology.

Science Driven by Clinical Need

We advance translational therapeutics through rigorous in vivo models and quantitative analysis. We specialize in bridging innovative material science with clinical therapy, using sophisticated in vivo models, quantitative histology, and data science to validate next-generation implants, drug delivery systems, and antimicrobial strategies, raising the therapeutic potential while ensuring robust proof-of-concept.

Based at the Biomedical Centre, the research institute of the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University, our multidisciplinary team operates within a modern, EU-funded facility (inaugurated in 2014) with a direct link to the University Hospital Pilsen. Our work is fundamentally driven by clinical need, providing the critical link between laboratory discovery and patient-ready applications.

Next-Gen
Translational Research

In Vivo Studies

Rigorous in vivo validation of novel biomaterials and therapeutics using advanced, disease-relevant animal models to generate robust proof-of-concept data for clinical translation.

Quantitative Histology

Advanced, design-based stereological analysis and virtual microscopy to transform complex tissue-biomaterial interfaces into precise, objective data for evaluating integration and healing.

In Vitro Evaluation

Complementary cellular and biochemical assays to screen biocompatibility and bioactivity of new materials using standardized and innovative laboratory protocols.

Data Science

Sophisticated biostatistical modelling and analysis of complex preclinical datasets to extract meaningful insights, optimise experimental design, and predict therapeutic outcomes.
